From Code to Craft

Hi, I’m Neha, the founder of Aurevaa.

Before Aurevaa, my world was code. I came to California for my master’s in Computer Science, stayed on to build a career in tech, and grew into a lead role. On paper, everything was going to plan.

But somewhere between the deadlines and the launches, I realized something was missing. I had built a life here, yet the part of me that came from India had no place in it: the vibrant textures, the comfort of chai shared with family and friends, the beauty woven into our everyday rituals. Creatively, I needed to find a connection between where I am now and where I’ve come from.

So I went looking for it. I couldn’t find pieces here that reflected that part of me; everything felt unfamiliar. I wanted something more than just pretty. I wanted pieces that told a story.

That’s how Aurevaa took root: a bridge between my two worlds, born from emotion, memory and a desire to create beauty that feels like home. Every piece is a reminder to slow down, to pause, to connect, and to make the everyday extraordinary.

Today, I’m also a mom to two boys, a 7-year-old and a 3-month-old. Building Aurevaa alongside them reminds me every day why these rituals matter: they’re how we pass on where we come from.
